Ok, I have Crohn's disease. This was diagnosed in January, 1986.
I was a 3th year dental student then, at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. I was optimistic about my future, so I continued my studies.
Well, I finished it, I graduated and started my practice in Rotterdam. But -as you can see in the chronological file- it was impossible to continue as a self-employed dentist.
I had to give up this line of work. I had to stay home, were these great nurses helped me when I really needed someone to take care of my wounds. Note: this is NOT a pretty picture...
